First poem
Scared to go backwards, my life’s a disaster
Can anyone hear my voices quiet laughter?
I can’t put all of the hurt into famous words
When they buried me, they watered the dirt
The wildflowers grew roots around the bones
The autopsy said the death was unknown
When there’s no one to talk to without fun
Just keep your breath steady til it’s done
If you’re heartbroken to know, just call home
Find your way back with that very first poem
Pray for them to read it so you’re not alone
It doesn’t help when you should have known
Someday I will change how I behave
But I’m trying my best just to be Grace
