what’s changed?

When it went down, you pointed at me first

I know it only makes it worse to deny the hurt

It was misunderstood that our journey worked

But I never told you that I was writing a book

I thought it was a given you’d come with it

I wish that God was the one that did it

A character that doesn’t die may not be alive

They just disappear so that she can survive

That’s the hard part of being what’s changed

You make all of my new habits feel strange

My heart is stuck with you at that age

Sometimes I look back to read our page

I learned the meaning at that first meeting

My own fists gave me the beating
